..yes deviantart can be a bit like that at times! sometimes when you submit something it will take maybe a day or so to show up on your user page..however it did sumbit, and people were able to see it on the main page (how I found it).

there is a way to see your deviation after you submit it, aside from when people comment or +fav it through your message centre:

click here> http://my.deviantart.com/gallery/storage

That will take you to a list of your current deviations, and it should be there.

I don't know why there is a delay sometimes, i have been around here for a while and it was not always this way..
